Issue:
Unable to Login to vCenter Appliance Management page
Error:
Exception in invoking authentication handler User password expired.
Solution:
- Access the appliance shell and log in as a root User.
- Run “chage -l root” to check the Password expiration status
If the above command gives Output as “You are required to change your password Immediately (Password aged). Change: PAM: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required”
- Run passwd and enter new password for root account
One after the password change you should be able to login to vCenter appliance management page with newly set password.
