Issue:

Unable to Login to vCenter Appliance Management page

Error:

Exception in invoking authentication handler User password expired.

Solution:

1. Access the appliance shell and log in as a root User.
2. Run “chage -l root” to check the Password expiration status

!> If the above command gives Output as “You are required to change your password Immediately (Password aged). Change: PAM: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required”

1. Run passwd and enter new password for root account
   

One after the password change you should be able to login to vCenter appliance management page with newly set password.
